Tara B. Piechowicz

Tara brings more than a decade of health and human services policy and administration experience to GSL’s clients. She was a Deputy Chief of Staff in Tom Wolf’s Administration overseeing the health and human services agencies. She also served as Deputy Secretary of the Governor’s Office of Policy and Planning and prior to that, Policy Director for the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services. Tara brings extensive subject matter expertise to clients in the areas of Medicaid, behavioral health, state-level health and human services regulations, and innovative strategies to further public health.

Prior to joining the Governor’s Administration, Tara was the Director of Government Affairs and Public Policy for the Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers. She also practiced as a licensed social worker in Central Pennsylvania.

In addition to Tara’s role as Vice President with GSL Consulting, Tara serves as an adjunct professor for Messiah University’s Social Work Department.
